Lately
some neat things have been created around my story, even one to
help grown-ups understand it!

The
Little Prince: Board Book Gift Set
I
love this! The grown ups took some of the drawings of my books and
made four books for little children!
In
the books, kids can see what I do on one regular day at my planet
and learn to count stars and Baobabs.

A
Guide for Grown-ups
As
my friend Antoine said, "grown-ups never understand anything
by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and
forever explaining things to them." It's surprising to me that
it took sixty years for someone to come up with this idea!
Now
we finally have a way to explain to a grown-up small parts of my
story.

The
Little Prince - Interactive Book
This
is just awesome! You can visit my planet on your computer. It has
games and activities, even one in which you have to help me pull
Baobabs out of the ground and take care of my rose.

The
Little Prince
- as told by Richard Gere and Young Osment
Just
another way to enjoy my story, with the added advantage of getting
to hear "If you please - draw me a sheep," exactly
the way I told Antoine.
Maybe
you can play it in the car while your mom or dad are driving, so
you can show them what is important and be there in case they have
a question (and they'll have plenty - you know how hard it is for
grown-ups to understand).

Le
Petit Prince - Narrated by Marc-Andre Grondin
My
story told in French. It's neat to hear the story in the original
language, the way it was told for the first time. Although I have
no idea who's that boy in the picture!

The
Little Prince - with Gene Wilder,
Bob Fosse and Richard Kiley. Directed by Stanley Donen. Music by
Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe.
Since
I don't have movie theaters in my planet, I'll let my friend Manuel
write the description of this one.
The
first time I saw this movie I was a bit, well, surprised. If you've
never seen it, it unexpectedly hits you with a rather surreal approach
to the story. Musically surreally, that is, since they made it as
a musical, with some of the dance sequences as if designed
by Dalí himself.
After
you get over the shock, though, it becomes a very enjoyable way
to follow the Little Prince's story. It kept the spirit of the book
and it's a great way to get smaller children acquainted with the
story.
It
features great talent. Stanley Donen also directed "Singin'
in the Rain" and "Seven
Brides for Seven Brothers." The guys who wrote the music
also wrote the scores for several musical movies, including "My
Fair Lady," "Gigi"
and "An
American in Paris."

A
la Découverte Du Petit Prince: An Enrichment Workbook
for Exploring Languages and Themes
This
is a book for people that are trying to learn French as they're
reading my story. Some teachers have told me that it helps small
kids get better in French and better understand the things that
are important from my journey.

Le
Compagnon Du Petit Prince: Cahier D'Exercises Sur Le Texte
De Saint-Exupery
Also
for students of French, a book with exercises and class activities.
I
know, children, that homework is not fun. But since you have to
do it anyway, it may as well be about my story instead of, say,
having to read the entire dictionary or something else grown-ups
would think is the reasonable thing to do.
